The function of oxytocin, the love hormone, in the male reproductivesystem remains ambiguous as of yet. Recent studies have revealed that reduced
level of the hormone is often concurrent with infertility.

It has also been found that infertility that may be attributed to low
sperm count or low mobility or structural abnormality, all have significantly
low concentrations of the hormone. The elucidations of the specific pathways
that may cause this are yet to be explored.
